The purpose of this assessment is to allow your child do a very simple test of his/her reading and comprehension ability – this test will run a 360 degree view of his/her ability, to their age level.  The test will take between 10 and 25 minutes.

This Test is completely FREE of CHARGE to all children under 19 years of age and resident in the Republic of Ireland.

Benefits of the test:

  1. Give you as a parent, piece of mind that your child is reading age appropriate or higher, with specific assessment in eight different areas.
  2. Find out if your child is struggling and if so where.  It will put you in a better position to discuss the exact problems (if any) in their reading and spelling skills with his/her teacher.
  3. Can serve as a tool for you to decide do they need help and how.
  4. Gives you the opportunity to put the necessary measures in place either in school or at home..
